FAQ 5: How Do I Join Or Create A Dragon Court Clan
FAQ 5a: How do I join a clan?
Updated: 2006-01-09 In order to join a clan you will need 1 quest and 1000 marks to petition. Your hero will need access to the Castle. If you are a noble, access is free. If you are still a peasant, then you will have to purchase a castle pass from the Town Shoppe. Once you have access into the castle, go to Clan Hall, this is where you can petition clans for membership. Enter the name of the clan you want to join, then click on 'Seek'. Click on the 'Make It So' checkbox (this protects against accidents). Click on 'Petition to Join $1000'. This will send mail to the clan leader. He will then review your application, and decide if you are suitable for the clan. You will recieve a notice in the game mail either accepting or rejecting your petition. If you are accepted, the this mail is accompanied by a 'Grant to Join'. Open your pack and 'Use' the grant. You will become a clan member. Warning! If you are already a clan member when you use a grant, the consequences could be dire. You can learn more about the various clans through the Clan Hall Forum, and through the Clan Pages. Most of the larger clans have web pages that are linked from the Clan Pages. These often contain useful tutorials.
FAQ 5b: How do I create a clan?
  1. Creating your own clan requires a rank of Baron (rank 4), 75 quests and 250,000 marks.
  2. You will need access to the Castle in order to get to Clan Hall.
  3. You create a clan from within Clan Hall but instead of join, click create.
  4. You'll need a unique and very cool name to type into that bar for creating a clan.
  5. Petitions to join your clan will be received at the Post Office for you in the castle.
FAQ 5c: How do I get Clan Powers?
Clan powers are earned by building the clan's power level. The power level correlates basically to the number of members in a clan and those member's values configured from a scale based on their nobility from Peasants=0 to Seneschal for 13:

DukeRank 9Duchess
PrinceRank 10Princess
ViceroyRank 11Viceroy
RegentRank 12Regents
SeneschalRank 13Seneschal

There are some other variants in configuring the power level, but this will give you an extremely close approximation. Abilities are earned when the Clan has reached and maintained during the ability request period:
  1. 100 power level
  2. 500 power level
  3. 2500 power level
  4. 10,000 power level
  5. 25,000 power level
Check out the Clan Powers in order to research which abilities you are working toward. You can see the Clan Powers from the link on the Grey Column to the left of the Dragon Court 1 game. Look under the Clans section on the Grey Column, then see the item called, "Clan Powers". When a clan has earned an ability, the clan leader can then go to the DC Utilities page to activate a new power. The 'Clan Utility' is located at the bottom of the Dragon Court Utilities Page. This utilities page has many other tools to aid with Clan Management. You can find the link to the DC Utilities from the Dragon Court 1 Game Page. The link is on the Grey Column to the left of the DC Game under the Section Header "Clans," see "Clan Utilities". Please note, a clan will not have an ability removed once that ability has been earned even if the clan does not maintain their power level into the future. Abilities earned are abilities earned.
