 How Come I Keep Losing Stuff?








 1) Why does stuff keep vanishing?
	
    

  • Dragon Court is a game that people play for weeks, months, 
even years.  Decay serves to keep the game fresh.


  • Decay will take players who are not active off the score 
lists, allowing others to come to the top.


  • Decay of gear creates a continual need for new weapons.
The rate of decay is slow enough that a good weapon will 
remain useful for a month or more.


  • Decay of fame and favor provides a need to stay active 
in court and on the battlefield.





 2) How come I'm not on the Score Lists? 
	
    

  • Heros are taken off the lists if they stop playing for 
two weeks.  The heros are still around, just not being scored.


  • If someone uses piles of mandrake root, then they are 
cheating.  Eventually their attributes will go out of legal 
bounds and they will stop being scored.





 3) How come my weapon isn't as good anymore?
	
    

  • When you awaken in the morning, the gear in your pack takes some 
damage due to rust and decay. How much depends on how you camped.


  • The best way to camp is to sleep in a tavern.


  • If you can't get to a tavern, be sure to carry camping supplies:
camp tent, sleeping bag, cooking gear.


  • You can also put stuff into storage.  It still decays in storage, 
but much slower than in your pack.





 4) I lost some mail, how do I get it back?  
	
    

  • Dragon Court is far from perfect.  If you try to send mail and 
there is some sort of internet interruption, you are likely to 
lose what was sent.


  • I am working on a better system for v19.


  • In-game mail and trading is always at your own risk.  Occasionally 
mail doesn't work.  There is nothing to be done.





 5) Why do I lose so many Mandrake, Faeries and Cookies?
	
    

  • Mandrake, Faeries and Cookies are VERY special items.  They are meant 
to be used on the day they are found.


  • They will decay rapidly no matter where you put them.





 6) What happened to stuff I had in storage?
	
    

  • Gear in storage also decays, although at a slower rate than 
in your pack.  It SEEMS like you get more decay because you 
have more items sitting in storage.


  • When an weapon decays low enough, it will fall apart and vanish.


  • If your storage is filled with weapons then you will probably 
see a few of them vanish each day.





 7) I had a BUNCH of stuff in my pack, where did it go?
	
    

  • The game tries to warn you when you are overloaded.  Sometimes 
it does not succeed.


  • If you camp with more than 100 items in your pack, anything 
OVER that limit will vanish.





 8) Why did I lose my court rank?
	
    

  • You lose rank when your Court Favor drops beneath half what it 
takes to earn your rank.
  

  • Court Favor decays each day by about 3%.  The decay is higher for 
higher ranks.


  • Court Favor can be reduced by some court activities.  Usually you lose 
favor with poor performance on a court action.  However, when you Dice 
you will make enmies and lose favor when you SUCCEED.
