The Guild is a coalition of old adventururs who share their skills with young
heros. Once you join, you can spend Marks and Quests to gain special
skills, useful both in and out of combat.
B) How do I join the Guild?
You will need 5,000 marks and 5 Quests in order to join. Once you have
undergone the ceremonial hazing, you are able to access traiing
for Guild Skills. The price of skills depends on how many
skills you already know.
C) How do I get Guild Skills?
You must pay some amount of money and 5 quests for each skill you learn.
You can learn a skill multiple times. This allows you to use
certain abilities more than once each day.
Training up skills will also cost you attribute points.
The guild will not train you if any of your attributes are below ten.
Fighter Skill - costs 2 wits and 2 charm
Magery Skill - costs 2 guts and 2 charm
Trader Skill - costs 2 guts and 2 wits
(version 19) Sage Skill - costs 2 guts, 2 wits, and 2 charm
D) What do Guild Skills do?
Guild skills have both combat and non-combat effects.
Some of the effects listed will only apply after the game is
updated to Version 19.
Fighter Skill - allows for Berzerk in Combat. Berzerk will only become
available after the first combat round.
Adds to your effective level for equipping weapons.
Adds to your Attack Power.
Resists disease and exhaustion when you awaken in the morning.
Assists when you Boast in the castle.
Trader Skill - allows for Backstab and Swindle options during fights.
Adds to your Defend Power.
Aids in fleeing combat.
Helps when you Dice in the Castle.
Magery Skill - allows for Hypnotize in combat.
Adds to your Combat Skill.
Helps when you Mingle in the Castle.
Allows the use of Gems for Magic (about 3 levels per stone).
GEMSTONES: as your magic skill increases, different stones
gain magic abilities. When you open your pack, you
will see what abilities they provide listed next
to their name. You can then USE the stone.
EXAMPLE: at magic rank 2, Quartz and be used to (Identify) items.
Sage Skill - passively defends against Ieatsu, Swindle and Hypnotize.
