Hey Everyone,

This message is a statement of new policy for Fiends.com.  Before 
you start to panic, please be assured that we will not be closing 
the website NOR will we be shutting down any games.


Let me start with the circumstances: Fiends.com has been operating 
as a free games site for the last seven years.  During that time we 
have NEVER made a profit.  Our revenues have increased slowly over 
time, but they have never grown enough to cover expenses.

It has gotten to the point that I cannot afford any more losses.
As a consequence I will be doing some drastic cost-cutting to bring 
revenues in line with expenses.

As of the end of August, Lawrence and Diane will be leaving Fiends.com.  
They told me about their need for better employment last year, so this 
is not a firing nor is it a surprise.  I will not be hiring anyone to 
replace them, so paid staff will be reduced to one person - Me (Fred).


The biggest change is this: We Will No Longer Answer EMail.

If you need to contact us about your account, we are providing a 
Support Form that you can use.  This will ensure that we get all 
the information we need to fix a problem.

Paying Members (DC2 players in the Portal) will always get a 
response to account problems.  Other problems may or may not recieve 
a response.  It depends on available time and importance of the issue.
Character damage and hacking will be the highest priorities.


If our revenue situation changes in the future, the first thing I 
will do is hire a secretary to answer email again.

I thank you for playing our games, and I hope that we can continue 
to provide you with entertainment in the future.
